We have to write a
post of each organization groups with the purpose of realize what we have
learnt through our mistakes and success. The first day of exhibitions presented
two groups: KIA and my own group. Kia group talked about ‘PLANETS’ utilizing
jigsaw technique or puzzle. In my opinion, it was an amazing exhibition because
this was the first exhibition of this subject and, although they were a little
nervous, they explain their exposition very good. They get their personal
commitments: improve their English and talk in public. Realize about your
mistakes and try to improve them very important to grow professionally. Due to
their group work, the activity and the relationship between it and jigsaw
technique was very clear. All of them had knowledge about all of the
presentation and, when the teacher provides them with constructive critics,
they answer her without problems and accept in a good way the critics. I think
that jigsaw technique is a good method to teach because the learning could been
done through cooperative work in which students shared their experiences and
knowledge, in which they feel themselves like a important component of the
group and feel that they are teaching their schoolmates. Also, what I like most
is the no competitive thinking. I think that children can learn through games
and, of course, no competitive games are the best. Children can feel that all
of them are winners and all of them can get a prize. This is more motivate than
a competition, because in a competition, losers think that they work was bad
and they feel demotivated and also, it can generate problems between members of
the group and the cooperation, friendship, respect and learning that we could
obtain, would disappear.
I really like this
exhibition and I don’t have any remarks just that the activity could be done in
a few days more.
Finally, I want talk
about few things that my own group should improve, like talking better in
English with the spectators, improving the oral communication and add our
personal commitments and the evaluation tables in our presentation.
