Gizem

In my last post I wrote that the LASH presentation was the final exposition but really was not. Gizem exposed us her project using the puzzle technique. She started telling us her personal commitment that was “use the time well”. This commitment makes me think in all the moments that we have to set to a specific time and we lose talking about unimportant things instead of focusing on the most important, what we really want to transmit. For me, her work was good but I think that she could do more respect her circumstances. It is truth that she had to do the work alone but she had a lot of time to do it. Is too difficult do alone a work but if I am sincere I prefer sometimes do it alone because this way you don’t have to be aware of each member of the group.

She did the presentation in English, the class of “Organización de las instituciones educativas” is bilingual for that reason I think that probably would have been a great point that the presentation was in Spanish instead of English, but we could hear a perfect English and that I liked it. She told us that in the past she studied these kinds of techniques and she chose the puzzle technique like the most of groups in the class, she could do a lesson plan using a different technique to see the differences.

One of the things that I loved was the idea of visit a museum with the kids to recollect more information about the Hittites, kids love school excursions. When I was a kid for me the best days were when we leave the school to visit new places like the farm school or Segovia.

Despite these small "defectillos" that she can fix to do the next presentation, her work was formidable, her ideas were so clear like her English, and her exposition very fast and concise.

My sincere congratulations!
